  4. I love these Gainsborough mysteries. Tis true--this is the lovely Miss Frances Read. Although from what I just read, she was a Mrs. when the portrait was done, with two small (adorable) children. Don't you love this artist?

  5. You are correct! It is Miss Frances Read aka Mrs. William Villebois whose portrait just went up for auction at Christie's and sold for £6.5 million!
